Class diagrams are a great way of showing a structure of your code. In Visual Studio, you can create any number of class diagrams (.cd files). VSdocman allows you to place those diagrams anywhere in your documentation, e.g. in a namespace description. A sample class diagram may look as follows:


Code elements in generated class diagram are clickable and the links navigate to corresponding topic in HTML based output formats (HTML, CHM, MSHC, Help2).

You can add class diagrams with <img> tag. The best way is to use comment editor. Remember that you can insert only a diagram from the current project into your XML comment.
